Troy Bailey

Troy Bailey

Director of Marketing, Networking Solutions Group

Troy Bailey oversees marketing of LSI Axxia products
in enterprise and datacenter applications as director of marketing for LSI’s Networking
Solutions Group.

Prior to joining LSI, Troy was vice president of Marketing at Tilera Corporation,
where he was responsible for all marketing activities at the semiconductor startup.
His 14 years of industry experience include marketing and strategy positions at
Freescale.


Jim Evans

Jim Evans

Product Marketing Manager, RAID Solutions Division

Jim Evans is a seasoned product marketing manager
with more than 12 years of experience in product marketing at LSI and previously
at American Megatrends Inc. (AMI). Before entering product marketing, he was an
editor and staff writer with technology industry trade publications.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Florida.


Raghu Kondapalli

Raghu Kondapalli

Director of Technology, Strategic Planning & Solution
Architecture, Networking Solutions Group

Raghu Kondapalli has rich experience and
deep knowledge of the cloud-based, service provider and enterprise networking business,
specifically in packet processing, switching and SoC architectures. As director
of technology for LSI’s Networking Solutions Group, he focuses on strategic planning
and solution architecture.

Previously, Raghu was CTO of cloud-based video services company Cloud Grapes Inc.
and led technology and architecture teams at Applied Micro, Marvell, Nokia and Nortel.
He has about 25 patent applications in process.

Raghu received a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Osmania
University in India and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose
State University.


Thomas Kodet

Tom Kodet

Director of WebCloud Group, RAID Storage Division

Tom Kodet is a product line director in the RAID
Storage Division of LSI, overseeing the WebCloud group. Previously, he was channel
product marketing manager for the former Engenio Storage Group at LSI, where he
led a channel-centric team that provided product direction and fostered strategic
partnerships to grow sales of LSI-branded storage adapters worldwide.

Tom’s 20 years of storage industry experience includes roles as design and field
applications engineers and in business development, marketing and sales management.
Prior to LSI, Kodet worked for Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems Division.

Kodet holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Electrical Engineering from North
Dakota State University.


Kimberly Leyenaar

Kimberly Leyenaar

Principal Big Data Engineer, Datacenter Solutions Group

Kimberly Leyenaar leads the Solutions Competency
Team as a Principal Big Data Engineer overseeing all storage performance-related
activities for LSI’s Datacenter Solutions Group. Kimberly and her team help design
cost-effective, high-performing storage solutions for Big Data architectures and
tune storage performance to application needs for top-tier OEM and hyperscale datacenter
customers.

Prior to LSI, Kimberly worked in Adaptec’s storage performance group. She has 15
years’ experience in datacenter storage, has written articles for trade journals
and magazines, and is a frequent presenter at trade shows and conferences.

Kimberly has a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Central Florida.


Mark Pokorny

Mark Pokorny

Principal Database Engineer, Datacenter Solutions Group

Mark Pokorny is responsible for database technology
solutions with an emphasis on PCI-e flash storage, in-memory, performance tuning,
and high availability as a principal database engineer for LSI’s Datacenter Solutions
Group.

Mark has worked in the storage industry for the past six years driving the development
of database solutions. Prior to LSI, Mark supported multiple database administration
projects with companies such as HP, NetApp and Samaritan Health.

He has a bachelor’s of science degree in information systems from Linfield College.


Hubbert Smith

Hubbert Smith

Big Data and Analytics Manager, Corporate Strategy

Hubbert Smith leads alliance management for
LSI’s big data and analytics initiatives, driving strategic partnerships and innovative
reference designs.

Prior to LSI, Hubbert was product manager of NetApp Open Solution for Hadoop. He
also worked at Western Digital, where, as director of enterprise marketing, he drove
the company’s entry into the enterprise hard drive market and built a business exceeding
1 million hard drives shipped per quarter.

Hubbert wrote the original 13 use cases that influenced the direction of the SATA
industry standard and served on a SATA-IO committee as technical editor of an early
version of the SATA specification. Hubbert authored “Data Center Storage: Cost-Effective
Strategies, Implementation, and Management” and co-authored “Serial ATA Storage
Architectures and Applications: Designing High-Performance, Cost-Effective I/O Solutions.”

Hubbert holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Auburn
University.


Kent Smith

Kent Smith

Senior Director of Marketing, Flash Components Division

Kent Smith is senior director of marketing for LSI’s Flash Components Division, overseeing all outbound marketing and performance analysis.

Prior to LSI, Kent was senior director of corporate marketing at SandForce, acquired
by LSI in 2012. Kent’s more than 25 years of marketing and management experience
in computer storage and high-technology includes senior management positions at
companies including Adaptec, Acer, Polycom, Quantum and SiliconStor.

Kent holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.


Kent Smith

Rick Stehno

Principal Database Engineer, Database Solutions Group

Rick Stehno has 36 years of IT industry experience
and for the past 24 years has worked with Oracle relational databases. He has been
at LSI for six years, benchmarking Oracle databases for the company’s SAN storage
and flash technology divisions.

Rick has spoken at MySQL Connect, Oracle User group meetings and at other Oracle
events. He has also published many papers on the LSI website and websites of the
company’s OEM customers. Rick was awarded a patent for enhancing application and
storage performance in 2013.
